Welcome
On behalf of the Egyptian Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery, it is our pleasure to welcome you to ESCTS 2026 — our 29th Annual Meeting — in the historic city of Alexandria. Over three days, an eminent international faculty joins colleagues from across Egypt, North Africa and beyond for a programme spanning adult cardiac, paediatric & congenital, and thoracic surgery, alongside hands-on pre-conference skills courses.

Why attend
More than forty invited international speakers from fifteen countries, including globally recognised leaders in valve repair, aortic root, congenital and thoracic surgery.
Four parallel wet-lab and simulation courses on Day 1 — Mitral Repair, Aortic Root, Paediatric Arterial Switch, and Thoracic Surgery.
Adult Cardiac, Paediatric & Congenital, and Thoracic — with focused sessions, expert debates, video sessions and young-investigator abstracts.
A dedicated North African Cardiothoracic Surgery Session brings together colleagues from across the Maghreb and Egypt.
Small-group mentoring, faculty dinners and a movie night of live-in-a-box surgery create room to learn and connect.
The Mediterranean “Pearl of the North”, rich in history and hospitality, at the seafront Radisson Blu Hotel.
Day 1 · 3 November 2026
Four parallel, hands-on courses combining expert lectures with wet-lab and simulation. Places are limited to preserve the trainer-to-participant ratio.
Basic to advanced repair — annuloplasty, resection and chordal techniques — with exoscope demonstrations and “live-in-a-box” simulation.
Valve-sparing root replacement (David procedure) and PEARS — lectures and two supervised wet-lab sessions.
Masterclass on the Arterial Switch Operation with neonatal simulation, coronary transfer and 3D-planning.
Evidence-based segmentectomy, operative technique and a hands-on skills lab.

Faculty
A selection of the distinguished faculty joining ESCTS 2026.
Invited international speakers from fifteen countries (full faculty confirmed closer to the meeting).
Venue & travel
ESCTS 2026 is held at the Radisson Blu Hotel on the Alexandria seafront — a modern conference venue with full facilities for the scientific sessions, exhibition and skills courses.
Alexandria is served by Borg El Arab International Airport (HBE), with Cairo International Airport (CAI) about 2.5–3 hours by road. The organising secretariat can assist international faculty and delegates with travel and accommodation.
Delegate rooms at the Radisson Blu are offered through the Guest Packages, which combine accommodation (1–3 nights, single / double / triple) with full congress registration at a preferential rate. Book early — package rates rise after 1 September.
Registration
Registration is handled by our Congress Secretariat (ICOM). The Mega Registration covers full access to the scientific programme; the Guest Packages bundle registration with accommodation at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Rates rise as the meeting approaches, so early booking is strongly advised.
